What to expect with Jordan Hicks on the Cavs’ injured reserve list
The Cavs announced Wednesday that they waived Jordan Hicks, who was injured in the loss to the Nets on Saturday.
He will be placed on the inactive list and cannot play in a game.
Cleveland also waived forward Nick Johnson, who had been acquired from Atlanta in a trade with Brooklyn.
The Cavs had been planning to activate Johnson’s contract with a salary-cap charge.
He has played two games with the Cavs and averaged 2.8 points.
He played in the first half of the Cavs loss to Brooklyn and scored four points on 1-of-5 shooting.
The Nets outscored Cleveland 29-12 in the second half.
