‘Bachelor’ star and ‘House of Cards’ alum Katie Holmes is the latest “The Bachelor” alum to announce her retirement
Katie Holmes has announced she will retire from acting, following the success of “The Bachelorette.”
The actress made the announcement in a statement posted on her official Facebook page.
“I have been a professional actor and performer for the last 13 years, including a successful run as the star of the hit TV show “The Biggest Loser,” on CBS, and a recurring role on “The Voice,” on NBC, where I won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for “The Way You Make Me Feel.
“I am grateful for the amazing journey I have been on, and for the incredible support from all of you.
I look forward to spending more time with my family, and I will continue to work on my craft, as I always have.”
Holmes will be the first of the many stars to announce their retirement from the reality show, which began its 25th season last September.
She is the first person to officially announce her plans to leave “The O’Reilly Factor” in the middle of the season.
