How to get your clemson ACC resume up to speed: Getting your resume updated, including how to apply for job offers
Clemson’s recruiting staff is in the midst of a major recruitment overhaul, with multiple job openings opening announcements made in recent weeks.
The ACC’s coaching search is on fire, and Clemson’s biggest recruiting class since 2012 is now entering its third season.
However, the Tigers are still waiting on their first head coach, who’s now officially announced his job is up.
“It was my first time,” said Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, according to Bleacher Report’s Ryan Wood.
“It was a lot of fun, but it’s a long process.
You get your job interview and everything, and then you wait and you get an offer.””
I’m excited to get this thing moving again,” Swinneys second-year assistant coach Josh Davis added.
“I’m hoping to start the process with a lot more optimism.”
The most obvious move to make is getting rid of head coach Derek Mason, who was promoted to offensive coordinator in March after he guided the Tigers to an undefeated season.
The Tigers lost four of their first six games under Mason, and they lost four straight in the SEC East before losing to Alabama in the Peach Bowl on Saturday.
Davis said that the offensive coordinator position is one of the hardest jobs to get, but that the Tigers were confident in the staff they had.
“They’re really, really good,” Davis said.
“You know, we have a lot going for us.
We’re a really good team.
We have a great quarterback, we’re a great running game, and we have great receivers.
You know, they’re a very good football team.
They have a good offensive coordinator, they have a very strong quarterback.
They’re going to have a really solid football team.”

source ESPN Clemson head football coach Derek Davis has made no secret of the fact that he is looking to take the Tigers from a top-10 recruiting class in 2016 to a top 10 recruiting class for 2017.
“It’s been a crazy year for me,” Davis told Bleacher Sports’ Tom Pelissero on Thursday.
“We’ve been trying to build a winning program, but at the same time, we’ve been struggling.
And we’re starting to realize that we have to start doing the things we’re supposed to do, that we’re not supposed to be doing.””
The recruiting staff has really come together,” Davis added of the offensive staff.
“And they’re starting the process of getting ready to do that.”
The Tigers have three spots open for offensive coordinator on the depth chart, which will be filled in a “pipeline,” according to Davis.
He is currently ranked by 247Sports as the No. 4 offensive coordinator heading into the 2017 season.
The Clemson recruiting staff will also have a recruiting coordinator position open, with an open offensive line spot, Davis said, but a full-time recruiting coordinator will remain open.
“There’s a lot to do in recruiting, and you have to be able to have somebody who can coach,” Davis explained.
“So that’s really where we need to focus on.”
Davis is the first person in the school’s history to win the position and take the Clemson job, as he was the head coach from 2000-2015.
He has guided Clemson to two national titles in his three seasons.
